Holly Yzquierdo

Holly Yzquierdo is an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager and has served at Catholic Charities since 2014. She is passionate about helping nonprofits share the impact of their work in a digital world. Holly has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cameron University. Outside of work, Holly enjoys spending time with her family.

“MANA House saved my life,” said Will. “I stayed at MANA House for 6 months. They were outstanding for me. I couldn’t ask for better guidance, structure, and support. They pulled me out of my shell.”

Joe has encouragement for veterans experiencing homelessness, “Never give up!” He knows from experience that it can take a long time and a lot of effort to find stability and thrive.

Lama and her family are refugees. They fled Syria when war broke out in their village, she was 9 years old. They applied for Refugee status and were eventually accepted to come to the United States in 2016 when Lama was 14 years old.

The Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) has been helping veterans at the Lodestar Day Resource Center at the Human Services campus for 6 years. After a one-year closure due to the pandemic, the VOC reopened with a plan to provide high-impact services while protecting clients and social distancing.

For Bob and Becky, foster care and adoption are more than choices, they are a calling. “When we first started dating, I asked Bob if he would be open to adopting,” said Becky. “It was on my heart since I was a child.”
