Holly Yzquierdo

Holly Yzquierdo is an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager and has served at Catholic Charities since 2014. She is passionate about helping nonprofits share the impact of their work in a digital world. Holly has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cameron University. Outside of work, Holly enjoys spending time with her family.

In January 2020, Layla* came to Arizona from Ethiopia as an unaccompanied refugee minor. She didn’t know any English and had never been to school. Refugee children, like Layla, have lost or become separated from their parents and relatives due to war or persecution.

Rosewood Court Affordable Housing Community partners with St. Mary’s Food Bank to offer a mobile food pantry to reduce food scarcity in our community.

While travel from many countries has been suspended, Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement program received a refugee, probably the last refugee to come to Phoenix for the foreseeable future.

For 10 years, the Walker Community Action Alliance has been holding a winter coat drive to help our community’s most vulnerable. That translates into hundreds of coats for kids in foster care, families trying to make ends meet, veterans and people experiencing homelessness.

For many women, hearing the words, “you’re pregnant” brings an overflow of emotions; joy, relief and maybe a little fear. All of these emotions are perfectly normal for expectant mothers.
