Like a child counting down the days until Christmas or their next birthday, the team at Catholic Charities looks forward to our anniversary on September 27th with anticipation. This year, we celebrated 89 years of service and begin our 90th year!

Growing up in a small town in North Carolina created a deep sense of community for Ben Hagaman. The son of a Baptist pastor, Ben understands the value of a close-knit, faith-based community.

Passion for serving the less fortunate drives Rachel Masch, Community Engagement Coordinator at Catholic Charities’ MANA (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force) House. As an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), Rachel has dedicated a year of service to helping veterans experiencing homelessness.

Young at heart is just one way to describe MANA (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force) House’s Veterans Outreach Center coordinator, Chuck Ashby. “I’m 78 going on 17,” says Chuck. “Well, I feel 17 until I get up and walk around.”

During an unpredictable time, God faithfully blessed Catholic Charities with seminarians from Nazareth House, a seminary formation house in the Diocese of Phoenix. Their steadfast service has been an essential part of sustaining and advancing our mission while loving our neighbors.
